Our durable one of a kind double weave Tonga Natural baskets are handwoven by women artisans from the Tonga tribe living in Zambia.  The baskets are woven from locally harvested palm leaves and wild twigs that will remain functional and beautiful for years. 

These baskets are not mass-produced, they are made to be functional and unique. Stunning on their own, and when hung in groups they are a beautiful textural piece of art. The fine weave baskets are woven by the most experienced weavers in Zambia and are beautifully detailed.  This 11" basket takes over 3 days to make which provides a sustainable source of income for their families.

Tonga Baskets feature a versatile palette of a natural tan and brown color. This gorgeous mix of pattern and artistry make the Tonga baskets an eclectic wall accent for a living room or a bold statement in the foyer.  These baskets definitely add beautiful texture and dimension to blank walls.  Hang this functional art in singles or multiples for a pop of textural.
